DESCRIPTION: Lockheed P-38 "Lightnings" of the 8th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron on Motabu Airstrip, Okinawa, Ryakyu Retto. This is the first Air Corps unit to use this newly constructed strip in the 5th Air Force area, and is the oldest outfit Overseas that operated from Australia through all campaigns to Otinawa.
